I come from a mixed race family with Dutch and Navajo ancestry.

My paternal clans are the Waters Flow Together people and the Towering House people.

I was born and raised in Gallup and am proud to call this place home. My most important title in life is “mother”; my husband and I have three children ages 11, 6, and 1. We love spending time together whether at home, outdoors, or traveling to see family and friends in other places. I am also a licensed clinical social worker with over 12 years’ experience in the mental health profession. 

As a social worker, I am a natural diplomat and an empathic listener. I bring an understanding of  individual and community needs to the role of public servant. I also bring the perspective of a parent with young children to the conversation on quality of life and what makes Gallup a great place to live. 

  I will work to 

foster safe, walkable neighborhoods by keeping roads and sidewalks maintained

 I will inform city-level response to behavioral health concerns

I support a Crisis Response Team for our first responders

  I will work to 

increase access to affordable housing and build more multi-family units

I will advocate for renters’ rights in mobile home parks and apartments

I support more emergency and transitional housing

I will work to ensure sustainable clean water for all residents and cap utility prices

I will work with parks to build shade covers for playgrounds and a splash pad! 

I support more funding for arts programming and small artisan businesses
